All prices are for the whole vehicle, one way, not per person. They come from our Sofia pricelist and Plovdiv pricelist. Where a line is missing in the pricelists, we do not guess: you get a fixed quote on request within 24 hours.

The Sofia and Plovdiv lines are the Thessaloniki city prices from the pricelists. The airport lies on the south-east edge of the city, so for a pickup directly at SKG we confirm the final price when you book. Where the driver waits at Thessaloniki Airport
SKG has one arrivals area, so meeting your driver is simple:
- Inside the arrivals hall: the driver is there when you come out with your luggage, after baggage reclaim, and takes you to the car in the airport car park.
- Your flight number is the key: write it in the booking. We follow the flight, and when the plane is late, the waiting costs you nothing – free and without a time limit when the reason is a delayed flight.
- Coming from outside Schengen (for example from the UK or Israel)? You pass passport control and, for non-EU passports, the EU Entry/Exit System registration. At busy times this can take a while; the driver knows and waits.

Thessaloniki Airport to Sofia
This is the classic cross-border ride. From the airport the driver takes the ring road around Thessaloniki and then the motorway north past Serres to the border at Promachonas (Greece) – Kulata (Bulgaria). In Bulgaria the Struma motorway (E79) leads past Sandanski, through the narrow Kresna Gorge, then on past Blagoevgrad and Dupnitsa into Sofia. Our pricelist gives 295 km and about 3:45 h city to city.

Thessaloniki Airport to Bansko
Thessaloniki is a popular gateway for skiers heading to Bansko, especially when a flight there is cheaper or more convenient than one to Sofia. From SKG the road is the same as for Sofia up to the Kulata border. A little after Kresna, at Simitli, the driver leaves the Struma road and climbs east over the Predela pass to Razlog and Bansko, at the foot of the Pirin mountains.
- Ski bags and boots: four skiers with full equipment rarely fit in a sedan. Book the minivan for 3–4 skiers and the minibus for larger groups.
- Snow on the pass: from December to March the Predela road can be slow after snowfall. Our drivers plan the time for it.
- Drop-off at the door: the car stops at your hotel, chalet or apartment, also in the upper part of town near the gondola, where streets are narrow.

Thessaloniki Airport to Halkidiki
The airport is on the Halkidiki side of Thessaloniki, so you avoid the city traffic and head south-east straight away. Halkidiki has three “fingers”:
- Kassandra – the first and closest peninsula, with resorts such as Nea Moudania, Sani, Kallithea and Pefkochori.
- Sithonia – the quieter middle peninsula: Nikiti, Neos Marmaras, Sarti.
- Athos peninsula – Ierissos and Ouranoupoli, the port for boats to Mount Athos.

The border: Promachonas – Kulata
Bulgaria joined Schengen fully on 1 January 2025, which made this crossing an internal Schengen border. In everyday practice the car rolls through the checkpoint with little or no stop. Random police checks are still possible, so keep your passport or ID card at hand, not in the boot. Greece and Bulgaria are in the same time zone, so your watch stays the same.
- No prepayment: you pay nothing in advance to reserve the car.
- Child seats free of charge: infant carrier, child seat and booster cost nothing extra. Write in the booking how many you need.
- Vehicles: our group works with around 200 sedans, 50 minivans, 100 buses, and 20 Mercedes E- and S-Class cars, so even a late booking is usually possible.
- Changes: changing the date, time or address is free if you tell us at least a day (24 hours) before the pickup.
